This special concert will celebrate the launch of Friends of Esker Arts, a new initiative that invites audiences, supporters and advocates to play a vital role in the future of arts and culture in our community.

Esker Arts has quickly become a vibrant gathering place where creativity, imagination and shared experiences flourish. This launch concert brings together a wonderful line-up of artists reflecting the diversity, talent and creative spirit that Esker Arts seeks to nurture and celebrate.

We are delighted to have acclaimed singer-songwriter Tolü Makay, whose powerful voice and distinctive interpretations have earned national and international recognition. Joining her are the talented young members of Music Generation Offaly Seoda Ceoil Harp, Donlon Dance Company and the Academy Chamber Choir. These groups are made of young people whose dedication, enthusiasm and artistry showcase the remarkable impact of music education and creative opportunity for young people throughout the county. Local poet Anthony Sullivan will read from his work which draws deeply from the traditions of both Irish and American storytelling. The concert will also features performances by Chris Corroon and Colin Hughes, two of Offaly’s most experienced and acclaimed musical theatre artists.
