Ploughing Championships Traffic News

Please be informed that the National Ploughing Championships will take place on the 20th, 21st and 22nd September 2016 at Screggan, Tullamore, Co Offaly. As a result of this event the N52 at Screggan will be closed from 10am on Monday 19/9/16 to 1pm Friday 23/9/16, diversions will be in place.

For the three days of the event traffic will be extremely heavy on all routes around Tullamore and especially between 7am and 12pm also between 4pm and 8pm.

An Garda Siochana ask that deliveries to and from Business premises be avoided for the three days of the event but if this is not possible every effort should be made to avoid the hours outlined above. I would also ask that you inform all staff of these disruptions and that every effort be made to avoid travelling during the busy periods.
