*All awards are open to nominations except for the President’s Award which is decided by the Chamber and the President.

What the Judges are looking for:

1. Best Customer Service Business

The Judges are looking for a business that celebrates excellence, best practice and innovation in customer service, who highlight the importance of giving customer service in today’s tough economic climate.

2. Best Customer Service Individual
The Judges are looking for an individual who is prepared to go that extra mile when it comes to offering the customer the best service.

3. Best Professional Services
Judges are looking for a service with robust and sustainable management systems and procedures, employee development, growth strategy and customer focus

4. Best Website/Social Media
The Judges will evaluate Web sites based on six criteria: content, structure and navigation, visual design, functionality, interactivity, and overall experience.
The Judges will evaluate Social Media based on the ability to monitor and track mentions of your brand, products and competitors. The ability to connect (login) to multiple accounts on multiple social networks. The ability to post updates, news, links and other micro-content to social networks. The ability to target users on social networks on the basis of keyword and/or niche markets. The ability to curate or discover suggested content based on market or niche.

5. Business Person of the Year
This award aims to acknowledge outstanding achievement of key business personnel in their aptitude for business, commitment to the profession and ability to consistently meet high standards of business excellence.

6. Community Achievement
The Judges are looking to award a non-profit organisation for its outstanding work and contribution within the community, in particular the judges are looking for an organisation whose pioneering spirit, resourcefulness and determination have contributed to our community.

7. Cultural, Tourism & Hospitality
Includes for example; arts projects, festivals, centres, theatres, studios, organisations, galleries, hotels, exhibition and convention centres, country house properties and the restaurant sector of the cultural/ tourism industry. The Judges are looking for outstanding achievement in the arts, culture, tourism and hospitality sector, awarding for excellence and best in areas of cultural, tourism and hospitality business operation.

8. Emerging New Business
The judges are looking for a start-up business (within the last 2 years) with a competitive edge and proven ability to create employment, win new business and achieve real growth.

9. Export Industry
This award will acclaim export industry businesses, recognising emerging exporters as well as established indigenous exporters of manufactured goods and services, and onward to the big hitting multinational exporters. There will be an opportunity for companies trading successfully in tough European markets and for those companies trading in high growth markets. Entrants may range from small start-up companies to large international corporations.

10. Retail Excellence
The Judges are looking for a company that delivers continuous and exemplary standards within the retail industry in particular outstanding achievement in the area of store presentation.
Tickets are now available for the Awards night, held Saturday 16th April 2016 in the Bridge House Hotel.

Awards Criteria & Terms and Conditions
• The Tullamore Chamber Business Awards are open to chamber members and non-chamber members.
• Companies may be entered into more than one category.
• Companies may nominate themselves.
• The competition is open to businesses in Tullamore and District.
• Previous winners are not excluded from entering the following year’s competition
• The competition is open until Friday 18th March 2016. Closing date is final; no entries shall be accepted after the 18th of March 2016.
• One Entry Submission, there will be no follow up for additional/further information.
• For those entering into the Emerging New Businesses category, your business must have started up no more than 2 years ago (February 2014).
• Why Enter? Companies/Organisations who are eager to progress their business enterprise, recognising the efforts of their key partners/employees and celebrating their achievements to date should consider entering these awards. Taking part will focus your organisation to think strategically about the future.
• The Judges verdict is final and judges shall not be providing individual feedback.
• Finalists will be announced in each category in March 2016 with the award winner being announced at the Awards Event on Saturday 16th April 2016 in the Bridge House Hotel.
