Local Boost as New Initiatives Coming from Tullamore Business Group

Meeting every second Tuesday - Next Meeting Tuesday April 15th in Bridge House from 10-11am

Tullamore Business Group would like to welcome friends from the local retail, vintner, tourism and property sectors to come along to our meetings which are held every second Tuesday in the Bridge House Hotel for one hour only from 10-11am. Our next meeting is Tuesday, April 15th.

We are a group of peers who are collaborating on several initiatives to improve and promote the vibrancy of the business environment in Tullamore. The Group operates under the umbrella of the Tullamore Chamber of Commerce.

Chief among the initiatives is Tullamore Treat Week which will run from May 16th to 23rd. This is a coordinated effort by retailers to offer special promotions to shoppers during the period. We will advertise this promotion week heavily, in order to to attract new and irregular visitors to the town. It is our hope that the visitors will leave having had a positive experience and feeling more inclined to return on a regular basis.

Further, the hotels and golf courses in the town are joining together to promote a coordinated team golfing event between September 29th and October 1st, which will be launched shortly and aims to attract 250 golfers. With the support of the retailers and vintners, it is estimated that this event will add €90k to the local economy.

By working together on tangible initiatives like these, we can make a real difference. Our meetings regularly attract up to 40 business owners and managers; they are lively, constructive and limited to one hour in duration. Anybody with an interest in contributing is invited to attend.
