Jobs In Focus At Midpoint HR

MILLIONS of euro in investment, resulting in thousands of jobs, along with getting organisations fit for the HR challenges of tomorrow are the main focal points of the 2013 Midpoint HR International Business Conference in the Tullamore Court Hotel on this Friday morning, March 8 at 8.00 am. 

Now in its third year, the event attracts hundreds of the most influential figures in Irish business to Tullamore to pool their energies and ideas.
Reflecting the emergence of new opportunities, the keynote speaker will be Mr. Gabriel D’Arcy, CEO of Bord na Mona. His is one of a number of companies involved in the development of wind energy projects to exploit the potential of the recently signed memorandum of understanding for exports between Ireland and Britain. Mr D’Arcy will present how these plans build on region’s proud tradition of electricity production and how legitimate public concerns can be addressed. The opportunities for sub-suppliers during and after construction will also be explored. The Minister for Communications, Energy and Natural Resources Pat Rabbitte may also contribute to the discussion, subject to his availability.
The conference, being run in conjunction with the Midlands Gateway Chamber, will also feature experts in the tax and business management fields. Ms. Darragh Kilbride from Kilbride Tax Consulting in Sandyford will tackle tax saving opportunities when dealing with succession for SMEs and Business Strategist Mr. Paul O’Kelly will distinguish between leadership and management and how to be more effective in both.
Having increased his workforce in the past 12 months, Midpoint HR International Managing Partner Niall O’Connell will give “a HR perspective on the current economic environment and, more importantly, the opportunities and gaps that exist in the market place for focused and forward thinking SME’s and emerging sectors.”
“This year’s event offers a truly remarkable opportunity for businesses and business owners in Tullamore, Athlone and Mullingar to learn from key industry experts on how to sustain and grow a business in the most challenging environments,” Mr O’Connell continued.
The theme of the event is of a motivational nature ‘Keep Going,’ gets underway at 8am on Friday, 8th March at the Tullamore Court Hotel.
