Council Agree to Water Business Hanging Baskets as part of Chamber Initiative

16th July 2015

The Tullamore & District Chamber of Commerce have launched a new initiative to add some colour to the Town Centre. Working closely with the Offaly County Council the Chamber have come up with a promotion to encourage the local businesses to agree to place colourful hanging baskets outside their businesses.

Cloonans Hardware have kindly agreed to sponsor wall brackets for hanging baskets & James O'Connor of Fititout has donated his time to erect brackets for all businesses free of charge. Only requirements for business owners is to provide the chamber office with number of brackets they require for their building & to provide flowers to fill the baskets which can be purchased from a number of local suppliers in town. Watering of the hanging baskets will be done by Offaly County Council, taking the daily maintenance away from businesses. All businesses are encouraged to partake in this to make our town look cleaner, sharper & more visually appealing. Following a huge response from businesses, the deadline for signing up for the promotion has been set for this Friday the 24th July at 5PM.

If you are interested in signing up, contact info@tullamorechamber.com, visit the Chamber office in the Bridge Centre or call the chamber office on 0579323698.
