Tullamore is Ireland's entrant to the European competition called Entente Florale.  We have achieved this nomination through our consistent improvement in the national Tidy Towns competition over recent years.  The aim of the Entente Florale competition is to promote quality of life of urban dwellers through environmentally and ecologically sensitive landscaping and 'greening' of towns; education and communication initiatives.  

On Wednesday 13th July 2016 an International Jury panel will spend the day in Tullamore on a guided tour of the best of what Tullamore has to offer.

The Jury will be looking at many aspects of the town and how we, as a community, work together.  Sites of note they will visit on the day include the Town Library, Lloyd Town Park, Tullamore Harriers, Charleville Demesne, Clonminch Business Park, Residential Areas, Cholaiste Choilm, Srah Industrial Estate

Offaly County Council, Tullamore Chamber and Tullamore Tidy Towns, calling ourselves 'Team Tullamore', have worked together to coordinating this effort over the last six months and now we need your help.  This is a chance to make our Town and County proud and participate in the competition.

We are asking all residents and business owners to go the extra mile in making their premises presentable for both the day of the judging and into the future.

Entent Florale Market in O'Connor Square

On the day of the Judging 13th July 2016 There will be a market taking place in O'Connor Square at 9am with many superb quality local food producers.  There will be music and artists to perform throughout the day.
