Turning on of the Christmas Lights

A festive programme of events is lined up for the turning on of the Christmas Lights this Sunday in Tullamore. The lighting ceremony will take place on Patrick Street, from 4:45pm.

Programme of Events: 

4.45 – 5.15 pm:  Offaly County Council Choir
5.15 – 5.45 pm:  Performances from Stage Stars Academy
5.30 pm:             Santa Leaving GAA
5.45 pm:             Big build up to Santa’s arrival from our MC Jim Smith and DJ
6pm:                   Santa arrives with Christmas songs from our DJ and MC

Santa’s Giant Elves will also be on hand to help the children to post their letters to Santa in the country’s favourite Giant Post Box, in O’Connor Square.

Many thanks to all who supported the fundraising for the Christmas Lights, and the Volunteers and Stewards who will be on hand on Sunday to make sure the evening runs smoothly, everyone who attended the Kilfenora Ceilí Band Monster Ceilí Fundraiser night, the Christmas Lights Committee, and all of the Members of the Tullamore & District Chamber, and the Offaly County Council for their help and support in ensuring the funds are raised to keep the festive lights in Tullamore.
